Dr. Gregory reed on NPR
On July 9, 2012, Dr. Gregory Reed, Associate Director, Center for Energy, was a guest on NPR's Talk of the Nation with host Neal Conan to discuss the wide-spread power outages that have been affecting the nation in the wake of recent storms.
Dr. Reed, an authority on the electric power grid, provided insight into why the outages happened, and, more importantly, what can be done to avoid this dire situation in the future. Is there a solution to a problem we seem to keep having?
